Meet the Team
Brenda
Brenda is our Clinic Coordinator. She works hard to get you in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible. She has worked with Dr. Mike since 2001.
What she loves most about her job is meeting new people and seeing the progress of our patients. She appreciates that Dr. Mike is very respectful, fun and always suggesting new challenges and goals.
Brenda has been happily married for 16 years and has 1 son, Tyler, who was treated by Dr Mike. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and attending church and of course, her son's sporting events.
Diana
Diana has worked with Dr. Mike since 2002 as a clinical assistant but has been in the dental field since 1995. Diana relates that her favorite part of the job is getting to know the patients. She believes that being able to share in their lives is a joy. She says, "I also like working with Dr Mike, because every day is a unique experience. Dr Mike is so passionate about what he does that it brings out the best in all of us."
Diana grew up in Dearborn but currently resides in Taylor. She is a single mom to an amazing son, Cameron, 5, who keeps her on her toes. When not at work, Diana enjoys spending time with Cameron, friends, watching sports, scrap booking her son's photos and attending church.
Anita
Anita is a Clinical Assistant and part-time receptionist who has worked with Dr. Lanzetta since 1992. Her favorite aspect of orthodontics is learning new and innovative techniques and procedures. Anita confides that she is no stranger to the other side of the chair as Dr. Mike put braces on her lower teeth numerous years ago and her husband and 2 of her children have also had orthodontics by Dr. Mike.
When she isn't working, Anita enjoys church, spending time with family and friends, volunteering and reading. She says, "My mom once told me, if you see someone without a smile, give them yours. I try to live by that. I love to joke around and make people laugh." That could be why her favorite part of the job is having fun with her co-workers and our patients and their families. It's also one of the things that makes Anita a patient favorite!
Lisa
As a Clinical Assistant with over 25 years of orthodontic experience, Lisa also has the distinction of being Dr. Mike's very first employee 21 years ago. Lisa shares, "I am proud of where I work because Dr. Mike is such an honest person. He will never recommend treatment that a patient doesn't need. I can respect that."
Lisa enjoys working with patients and discussing their orthodontic needs and answering any questions they or their parents might ask. Lisa really lights up when a parent decides to do treatment for themselves! "I know how important it is as a working mom to take the time out to reward yourself. Our human nature is to provide for our children first and then us second! It feels good to see an adult want to improve themselves as well!"
Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband of 22 years, Dave, her son, DJ, who is in school for nursing, and her daughter Sophia. She loves helping her to achieve success despite her disabilities. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys time as a family at church, working out, reading, being outdoors and biking.
Barb
Barb is a Clinical Assistant and most recently has been assisting Dr. Mike with exams and consultations. Barb has worked with Dr. Lanzetta since 1993. She enjoys learning new procedures and appreciates Dr. Mike's explanations and patience. Her favorite thing about her job is being able to meet a lot of new people, watch them grow up, and see their smiles when the braces come off. She especially enjoys when now grown patients bring their children in for an exam. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she has lived in the Downriver area for over 30 years. Barb has 3 grown children and 3 beautiful granddaughters. When not working Barb enjoys spending time having fun with her family and friends.
Barb wants to share an important tip. "I was initially in braces for 5 years but after treatment I began wearing my retainers less and less. You can guess what happened! I needed to have braces replaced on my lower teeth and ended up having to wear them for over a year! What was I thinking? Wear your retainers."
Shayna
Shayna is a Clinical Assistant and has been with our team since 2003. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing a patient's transformation from start to finish. She loves removing their braces and helping to celebrate their new smile. She also appreciates the variety of different procedures done everyday that keep her work interesting. Outside the office she likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Tonya
Tonya has worked for Dr. Mike as a clinical assistant and lab technician for the last 7 years. Surprisingly, dental assisting isn't what Tonya set out to do. "When I dreamed of my career as a teenager it was to work with foster kids. Working on peoples' teeth never crossed my mind. But if you asked me today about my job as an orthodontic assistant and lab technician, I would say, " I LOVE IT."
Tonya shares that she sees what she does now as making kids' lives brighter one smile at a time. Speaking as a mother of four, she believes that even though your child's smile is worth a million dollars, keeping orthodontics affordable is important too!
Susan
Susan has worked for Dr. Lanzetta since 2001. She is an absolutely essential part of our front desk team. She works hard to find you the most convenient appointment to fit your busy schedule. She is married with four grown children and one 2 year old grandson. She loves spending time with family and friends and her hobbies vary depending on the season: dirt biking, kayaking, and snowmobiling. She loves living each day as if it were the last!
Susan shares, "When I was hired, I was so embarrassed of my teeth. I had been told elsewhere that the only way I could correct my teeth was through surgery. Well, they were wrong. Dr. Mike said that with braces and elastic wear I could have straight teeth in about 24 months! Well, 18 months later I was able to have my braces removed and had the smile I'd always wanted. It may sound funny but it really was like a miracle! I like smiling again. So when my daughter's dentist said it was time for her to see an orthodontist, there was no question of where we'd be going. I really recommend that before you start your child or yourself in braces elsewhere, do yourself a favor and get a second opinion from us. I guarantee that once you meet Dr. Mike and our staff, you will not want to go anywhere else! We love getting to know our patients and their families and we can't wait to meet you!
Pam
Pam has worked with Dr Lanzetta since 1992 and is our Financial Coordinator. Her main focus is to handle the insurance needs and problem solve on our patient's and parent's behalf, and she is very good at it! She works to provide flexible payment options that make those beautiful smiles possible. Pam says, " Honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else. To tell you how much I love my job, I recently moved to a farm, meaning I have to drive every day, one way, 1 hour and 20 minutes!"
Pam continues, " My favorite part of the job is visiting with all the parents, getting to know about them and their families. At any given time you can stop by the front desk and you are guaranteed to see us laughing, it is truly a HAPPY PLACE to be. I enjoy working with Dr. Mike because he is very patient. He is a family first kind of person, totally understanding and never judgmental. Dr Mike sets goals and challenges and encourages us to meet and exceed them. That makes coming to work fun and really there is never a dull moment."
Pam shares that Dr. Mike has treated 2 of her 3 children. Her youngest is just 2, so he's not quite ready yet!
Sue M.
Sue is a valued member of our team and serves as our Patient Coordinator. She has an enviable 39 years of experience in the orthodontic field and has been part of our team for over 19 years. Sue has some personal experience with orthodontics as well, having had braces as a young adult, she experienced relapse and recently had Invisalign express and loves her results!
Sue feels privileged to present treatment options to patients and their families and then work with them to move forward with their treatment and achieve their goals for a beautiful healthy smile. Her greatest reward is seeing the renewed confidence and self esteem in her patients after treatment is complete.
Sue loves the challenge of continuing education seminars and welcomes daily challenges that keep her on her toes. She resides in Woodhaven with her husband, Chris, and has 2 adult daughters and four grandchildren.
Kristi
Kristi is a newer receptionist in the office and we are delighted to have her. She has over ten years of experience in the dental field and enjoys working with people. Kristi loves the friendships she has made so far and looks forward to more to come.
Kristi lives with her husband, David, and daughter, Brooke, in Grosse Ile. She enjoys reading, boating, horseback riding, and spending time with family. Kristi is also excitedly looking forward to getting Invisalign. She says, "Dr. Mike is going to give me that million dollar smile all of his patient's have!"
Melissa
Melissa is our newest Dental Assistant, joining our practice in 2010. She graduated from Ross Medical Education Center where she received her Dental Assistant Diploma. Her favorite part of working in orthodontics is the beginning of treatment. She loves it when she is able to work with a patient that is beyond excited about getting braces and getting one step closer to a beautiful smile.
Melissa lives in Ohio. When she is not at work she enjoys crocheting and hanging out with friends and family.
Michelle
Michelle is the newest addition to our staff. She is one of the smiling faces that greet you in the reception area of our office. While her previous background was in the automotive, logistics and fashion industries, she shares that her favorite thing about orthodontics are the kids. She loves talking to them and seeing how happy they are as their smiles start to take shape. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Lanzetta is the camaraderie and friendliness of the office.
Michelle was born and raised in the Downriver area and has a daughter and granddaughters of her own who were also born and raised in the area. She loves animals and likes fast cars, especially black Camaros. She spends her spare time with her family and her pets. She also enjoys visiting New York City where she has friends from her experience in the fashion industry. We are happy to welcome Michelle to our team!
